As an employer, we offer a collegial, respectful, and inclusive work environment and generous benefits. Our main office is in downtown Berkeley. Thank you for your interest in RCD!
The Director of Business Operations (DBO) will function as a primary change agent at RCD, building on a established platform and working both cross-departmentally and externally to further various company initiatives and objectives. Together with executive and senior leadership, the role will identify and implement measures that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of RCD’s internal operations and core business lines, while staying true to RCD’s core values and mission. To that end, the role and candidate will approach the work with a lens toward multiple bottom lines, including but not limited to real estate and social service delivery outcomes, and programmatic and company profitability. Success in the role will require a skillful balance between the bottom-line business objectives of the work and RCD’s people-first and mission-driven considerations. This is a full-time, hybrid role. You will be expected to work up to two days at RCD’s main office in Berkeley.
The Asset Manager (AM), under the direct supervision of RCD’s Associate Director of Asset Management, will be responsible for various asset management activities related to RCD’s multifamily affordable housing portfolio. The candidate will join a growing team with a strong track record, industry position, and trajectory. In this position, you will work closely with a variety of partners and stakeholders, including lenders, investors, property management, and social services professionals, as well as with key members of RCD’s senior leadership team. You will help guide the management of a growing real estate portfolio that assigns equal value to financial performance as it does the resident quality of life. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, a critical thinker, and a problem solver. Just as important, we want a candidate who is good with people, has a passion for real estate, and wants to affect social change. This is a full-time, hybrid role. You will be expected to work up to two days at RCD’s main office in Berkeley.
The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) will be part of a team offering on-site engagement to residents of RCD properties. You will work closely with residents, RCD staff, property management, and third-party service providers to connect residents with community resources and educational programming that help them meet their personal goals. RCD’s Resident Services programs support residents in five key areas: housing retention, economic stability and employment/education, health and wellness, social engagement and community development, and youth enrichment. You will be expected to work on-site at one or multiple RCD properties near Oakland/Emeryville with occasional travel to RCD’s main office in Berkeley as well as other RCD properties for in-person meetings. This is a full-time, hybrid role working 80% in-person and 20% remote.
