The fabric of our community is woven with many threads—affordable housing, accessible supportive services, and the spaces where neighbors become family. We invite you to strengthen this tapestry by joining us as a sponsor or ticket holder for our annual fundraiser: “ A link to: Sparking Connections 2025: A Constellation of Community” on September 24, 2025. This year, we aim to raise $200,000 to continue our mission of creating affordable homes and supporting vibrant communities so that essential workers and families can remain in the communities they serve and love.
2025 marks an extraordinary chapter in RCD’s story—we’re completing five new affordable communities and welcoming hundreds of Bay Area residents home. RCD is proud to contribute to vibrant neighborhoods with ground-floor commercial spaces that nurture small local businesses and nonprofits providing critical community services.
At our September celebration, we’ll honor three remarkable partners who exemplify RCD’s vision of connected community:
- A link to: Healthy Black Families, now serving Berkeley families from their new home at the Maudelle Miller Shirek Community.
- A link to: Emeryville Citizens Assistance Program (ECAP), soon to expand their vital services at Nellie Hannon Gateway, a community named for ECAP’s visionary founder.
- A link to: Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD), bringing spaces for play and connection to Ashland residents this summer at Madrone Terrace.
The evening will also celebrate our annual scholarship recipients—dedicated RCD residents taking bold steps toward higher education and bright futures.
In our 40+ year history, we’ve never faced a more critical moment for affordable housing. Your support today creates ripples that will benefit generations to come. Together, we can ensure that the constellation of our community shines brightly for all.
