New construction of 62 affordable homes in Concord

Rick Judd Commons at 1315 Galindo Street will provide 62 new affordable apartments for small families and individuals in an amenity and transit rich location. Located in close proximity to the BART Concord Station, this development will provide residents access to a variety of regional and local amenities including Downtown and Todos Santos Plaza.  

One-, two- and three-bedroom apartments will be available in this development for individuals and families earning between 30 – 60% of the area median income. 13 apartments will also be set aside for formerly homeless households with disabilities and one apartment will be set aside for households living with HIV/AIDS.

The new affordable housing community is named after Rick Judd, a long-standing member of RCD’s Board of Directors from 2004 until his passing in 2021. We are honored to dedicate this new building to a community and cause that Rick Judd cared about deeply.

Apartment Mix: 62 apartments consisting of 39 one-bedrooms, 19 2-bedrooms, and 4 3-bedrooms.

Amenities: The property will include a large, outdoor terrace, multipurpose community room with full kitchen, indoor bicycle storage area, on-site property management, and supportive services programming.

These income limits and rents are effective 5/15/23 and are adjusted annually by the CA Tax Credit Allocation Committee.
