Embark Apartments is an affordable rental community for veterans and their families. This new, 6-story property was completed in February 2020. It is centrally located in Uptown Oakland, near downtown, and close to two Veterans Administration (VA) service centers, transit lines, shopping, schools, libraries, and parks.

Unit Mix: 1 studio, 57 one-bedroom and 4 two-bedroom apartments.

Amenities:  on-site property management and resident services with a specific focus on veterans’ health; bicycle parking; on-site laundry; community room with kitchen; rooftop garden; and green design and construction.

Eligibility is income-restricted, as are rents, in accordance with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program and other funding regulatory agreements. Thirty-one (31) units are set-aside for veterans who are homeless.
