Bell Street Gardens is located on the corner of Bell Street and Mowry Ave. in Fremont. The development consists of the renovation of an existing 2-story motel and the construction of an adjacent, new 5-story building. Once completed, the development will consist of 79 renovated apartments and 49 newly constructed apartments for a total of 126 deeply affordable homes for families and individuals as well as two managers’ units.
Located along Mowry Ave., a commercial thoroughfare, the new community will provide residents access to a variety of local and regional amenities. The property will provide a mix of studios, 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms and 3-bedrooms for low-income households. 25% of apartments will be set-aside for people with Special Needs while 17 apartments will serve households transitioning out of homelessness.
Apartment Mix: 126 apartments consisting of 54 studios, 36 one-bedrooms, 24 2-bedrooms, and 12 3-bedrooms.
Amenities: The property will include two multi-purpose community rooms with a kitchenette and space for community events, fitness room, exterior courtyard, on-site property management, and supportive services programming.
