The pre-application period is now closed.  If you submitted a pre-application by the deadline of December 12, 2016 at 10:00am, you will receive an email or postcard by January 6, 2017 informing you of the result of the lottery for the waiting list.  Please note that we received over 12,000 pre-applications and the waiting list will be limited to 3,000 applicants.

Stargell Commons is an affordable rental community currently under construction with completion projected for April 2017. It is centrally located in Alameda, CA, and close to shopping, schools, dining, and AC Transit.

Unit Mix: 5 one-bedroom; 17 two-bedroom; and 10 three-bedroom apartments.

Amenities:  on-site management and resident services; car and bicycle parking; a children’s play area; security cameras; on-site laundry; green design and construction; and, a non-smoking community per City of Alameda ordinance.

Eligibility is income-restricted, as are rents, in accordance with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program and other funding regulatory agreements.  Seven (7) apartments are assisted by the Project-Based Voucher Program made available by the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA). Referrals for the Project-Based Voucher apartments are made directly from AHA’s waiting list.

Pets are not allowed, with the exception of service animals, as provided for under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
