The pre-application period is now closed.  If you submitted a pre-application by the deadline of April 23, 2018 at 12:00 Noon (PST), you will receive an email or postcard by May 15, 2018 informing you of the result of the lottery for the waiting list.  Please note that we received almost 5,000 pre-applications and the waiting list will be limited to 4,000 applicants.

Riviera Family Apartments is an affordable rental community currently under construction, with completion projected for September 2018. It is centrally located in Walnut Creek, CA, and close to downtown and the Walnut Creek BART Station.

Unit Mix: 8 studio; 24 one-bedroom; 7 two-bedroom; and 19 three-bedroom apartments, distributed across two buildings.

Amenities: on-site management and resident services; car and bicycle parking; a children’s play area; outdoor terrace; two community rooms with full kitchens; on-site laundry; and green design and construction.

Eligibility is income-restricted, as are rents, in accordance with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program and other funding regulatory agreements. Eight (8) apartments are reserved for households with a member living with HIV/AIDS. Eighteen (18) units are assisted by the Project-Based Voucher Program made available by the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa (HACCC). Referrals for both the Project-Based Voucher apartments and the HOPWA apartments are made directly from HACCC’s waiting list, which is now closed.
